A Day of Celebration!

RBF's HITHER CAME CONAN received the Robert E. Howard Foundation's Valusian Award at the 2024 Howard Days. It is a terrific salute to the hard work by many folks: Bob Byrne, who instigated and lead the whole project; Howard Andrew Jones and Bill Ward, who heroically provided and restructured their blog discussion into readable form; and Dierk Günther, who diligently prepared the greatest collection of story data on all 21 original Conan tales ever assembled. It was a great honor to be allowed to publish this collection and yet another to accept the award for this fun and impactful title. My thanks to all'y'all who participated in its creation -- and to all'y'all reading it and talking about what a joy it is.

Today also brings the release of the final format of RBE's culminating title, NEITHER BEG NOR YIELD, in hardcover. This book has maintained high praise across reviews across sites, averaging 4.7 on Amazon and 4.8+ on Goodreads. Two new reviews filled with praise dropped the last few days:

Jim Clark @ Goodreads: "Neither Beg Nor Yield is the best sword & sorcery anthology I have ever read. This book has redefined what 'Sword and Sorcery' means to me. Overall, this massive book is a treasure for fans of sword & sorcery and I highly recommend it!"

The Harbinger of D.O.O.M. says: "...here is my review of Neither Beg Nor Yield, a fantastic, massive anthology...a stellar cast of yesterday and today’s best S&S authors. Neither Beg Nor Yield is an ambitious anthology that accomplishes the rare feat of delivering an incredibly diverse selection of Sword and Sorcery stories that embody the S&S attitude in every possible form...Jason M. Waltz’s vision for this passion project was achieved magnificently and we can all be thankful that this marvelous anthology exists."

Can't have a much better day than that. Thanks, y'all.
